The average man has about 5-6 thousand pounds of fat on his body, and many will go as far as to say that they’re even more than that, but even so, you probably don’t know that most of this is due to one thing…
Belly fat.
You see it on television, in movies, or even in your own house. You can’t seem to avoid it. It’s not only the belly which needs to be looked after, it has a funny way of being hard working. Sometimes, it doesn’t like taking orders from anyone else, and it often ends up with a big mess. In fact, according to some studies, this could account for 50 percent of all your abdominal fat.
You can’t even deny it, because when I was younger, I’ve always been quite big, and no matter how much I tried to resist that belly fat, nothing ever worked. So when I tried any sort of diet or workout, I ended up spending all my money on getting a six pack abs, or at least gaining all of them. Then, when I tried cardio, it would always end up going down the drain more than once, either because I couldn’t work out and do the required workouts correctly, or because I wasn’t able to keep up with the workouts. And then here we are today, nearly 20 years later, many people have tried every diet imaginable. Some might even think their entire approach was flawed, but I’m sure if I told them what I told them the first time around, they’d be doing better than ever with new strategies and fad diets, like intermittent fasting, ketogenic, paleo, or whatever.
So what does apple cider vinegar do to help you burn more calories than those high calorie foods on a regular basis? According to Harvard Medical Review, studies show that when eating 1 tablespoon of apples cider vinegar before each meal, the average person burns between 28 & 39 additional calories per day, compared to an individual who eats 1 cup of coffee before or 2 ½ tablespoons of ice cream. And for comparison, a similar amount of weight loss is achieved by individuals following a ketogenic meal, where, on average, they lose about 9 pounds in 14 days.
So when it comes down to it, apple cider vinegar is a pretty good remedy for belly fat reduction. There you go, someone who knows that apple cider vinegar helps to prevent certain diseases like diabetes, kidney problems, and others. But let’s take a step back and talk a bit about why apple cider vinegar works wonders with losing stomach fat.
Secondly, apple cider vinegar breaks down proteins and fats, causing your intestine to produce fewer enzymes, which in turn make digestion less efficient. With this, digestion becomes lower than normal and more often people end up starving themselves rather than eating enough food. As with other methods of reducing hunger, drinking fruit smoothies works perfectly to curb hunger pangs.
“more acidic” and result in bloating. When this happens, the bowel become more sensitive, making these areas less tolerant of enzymes, resulting in a higher rate of irritation, causing the body to release more toxins from the bowels. Thus, allowing the Bowel, especially the small intestines, to secrete more gas, and therefore, the whole body, to get even more irritable. To add to this, when apple cider vinegar enters the large intestines, this means that the bowels are slightly irritated too, bringing an extra dose of irritation and discomfort to the intestines, affecting overall digestion and causing worse digestion.
The second reason apple cider vinegar works so well on digestion is that when it hits the gastrointestinal tract, it causes the production of various enzymes to increase, so that the digestion process is somewhat increased. As mentioned above, this leads to even more irritation, and if this isn’t addressed, they lead to another issue, of getting worse, not better. At the very least, with the same volume of ingested apple cider vinegar, there are going to be several bowel problems and bad smells. All of these factors lead to diarrhea, colitis, and other chronic digestive disorders or conditions, such this will be most severe in the elderly.
Another interesting aspect of apple cider vinegar is that it contains phenol compounds, which may have anti-inflammatory effects and help to reduce inflammation in the GI tract. One study showed that when tested against two different samples (one group without apple cider vinegar and the other with apple cider vinegar) both with the same concentration, the groups that received 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
There are multiple types of apple cider vinegar, all of which have very distinct benefits to their customers. For example, red and white wines contain caryophylls and resins, while rose and peppercorns contain chlorogenic acid and malic acids. The difference in color is mainly due to the addition of sugar, and, as a result, the taste is a mix of sweet, tart, and sour. However, since the fermentation process takes place in the cork or wood barrel, the wine tastes different. A red wine usually has a red hue. However, white wine has a slight tangy flavor and tends to be milder. Another kind of apple cider vinegar is golden, though it tends to be sweet, with a mild bitterness, compared to red apple cider vinegar, which is usually bitter. The main difference in this type is that red apple cider vinegar comes mostly from grapes that aren’t fruity. On the hand, golden apple cider vinegar is produced by mixing purees. White apple cider vinegar and pink lemon cider vinegar are made by combining fruit juice and lime. While there are tons of variations, all those varieties tend to have roughly the same sweetness of bitterness.
Another variation of apple cider vinegar are cranberries. They’re the ones that come from a berry- or cranberry tree called Cranberries. Cranberries belong to the family of plants called the cranberries, and they’re named after Christopher Columbus. According to research, they are most popular in Asia and North America. Their fruit can be used for a variety of purposes like cranberries as an ingredient for fruit juices, and, in fact, their berry-derived compound, anthocyanin, is used as colouring agents for sweets and other baked goods. Because of their popularity, they sometimes appear on almost everything that contains fruit. Cranberries are typically found throughout grocery stores, although some brands have completely eliminated this product completely. Most cranberries come frozen in jars, and many supermarkets have replaced these with plastic containers. They’re commonly available across the United States in larger quantities, but there are still a few cranberries that you can buy in other markets like Canada. There are a few cranberries that make excellent tea (like cranberry sauce) but they’re rare to find here in the U.S., and you can buy a few cranberries in supermarkets as well.
There are countless ways, ways, and means that you can pick up fresh cranberries if you want to eat healthy and stay away from processed packaged products, like brown bread, muffins, cakes, soups, pastries, cereal, and many more. There are even healthy recipes out there for cranberries like pumpkin cranberries and cranberry sauce.
Another recipe that includes cranberries is tomato jam. Tons of health benefits come from the combination of natural sugars and antioxidants-rich berries like cranberries that provide us with vitamin C, fiber, and minerals that promote proper digestion. Studies have proven that cranberries help to combat diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and other ailments. One study shows that if you eat 200g of cranberries daily for several weeks, you can improve the odds of developing Parkinson’s Disease. Other studies have shown that cranberries are effective in treating inflammatory bowel tract disorders. Also, cranberries contain a compound called quercetin, which may aid in the healing of wounds.
In short, there’s plenty of health benefits for cranberries, and as you see, there’s plenty of health benefits in picking and consuming them to your heart’s content. There are a number of reasons the scientific community considers adding cranberries to your diet, yet in reality, the science really hasn’t helped to explain exactly how they benefit our bodies. Now, I would recommend trying cranberry sauce, cranberry juice, and, of course, cranberry salad, which adds an additional dose of nutritional benefits. Although you can’t really get rid of cranberries, you can certainly manage their consumption like I said above. If you’re like me and enjoy cranberries, pick them early, when they’re still ripe and fresh.
